Arts and Communities Officer Ordsall Hall Scale 5 £18,907 - £20,736 p.a. 36 HPW (Ref: 21154) The Arts and Communities Officer will support Salford’s Heritage Lottery Fund development for Ordsall Hall by devising a varied programme of arts and heritage events and activities for schools and communities at venues throughout Salford.It is anticipated that during the Hall’s development period (2009-2011), the post will be based at Salford Museum and Art Gallery. You will have experience of organising events and a sound understanding of current issues related to delivering activities to a range of audiences. You will have experience of partnership working and handling project finance. A degree in a relevant discipline and experience of working with volunteers are desirable. Exhibitions Officer Salford Museum and Art Gallery SO1 £11,874 - £12,659 p.a. 18 HPW (job-share) (Ref: 21139) Together with their job-share partner, Salford’s Exhibitions Officer is responsible for designing and implementing an innovative programme of changing exhibitions and events at heritage sites and elsewhere in the city.
You will have a degree in a relevant discipline and experience of planning and arranging exhibitions in an art gallery, museum or heritage environment. You will be aware of curatorial good practice in handling and displaying museum objects and collections and be able to work creatively within a tight timeframe. You will be an excellent communicator and computer literate. Outreach Officer Salford Museum and Art Gallery SO1 £23,749 - £25,320 36 HPW (Ref: 21134) Salford’s Outreach Officer will develop, deliver and sustain a programme of outreach activity across the city focusing on new, non-traditional audiences and in areas of most need/disadvantage. You will support established history societies in the development of their work and be the responsible officer for the ‘Memories Matter’ project.
Our Outreach Officer will be an excellent communicator with experience of organising and delivering cultural events and activities in a range of settings to a variety of groups and individuals. You will have experience of budget management and external funding applications. A degree and postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and experience of working with volunteers are desirable attributes.
