New Media Internship – Lets Go Global Manchester
Lets Go Global are now recruiting for an intern. Please apply to info@letsgoglobal.tv with a covering letter and a CV no later
than 15th October 2008.The intern will work from our offices for 1-2 days a week, with some occasional out of hours work, assisting the Lets Go Global Project Manager, New Media Communications Coordinator and Pixelate Project Manager for 3 months, subject to review. The Internship is unpaid but travel expenses within Greater Manchester will be reimbursed.
Lets Go Global is a leading arts led internet TV channel based in Old Trafford Manchester.
Lets Go Global empowers people through technology, enabling them to have an active and creative role, becoming producers, publishers and distributors of their own content and participants in the new digital age. Working with many leading new media artists to facilitate this process, Lets Go Global aims to challenge the artistic and social possibilities of new technologies.
The project has built a strong reputation within the arts, new technology and media sector and is partner to a number of strategic organisations such as Arts Council England, North West, Manchester Digital Development Agency, Creative Partnerships and the BBC Connect and Create scheme.
The most important requisites are an interest in and knowledge of new media arts and technical experience of uploading rich content to social networking sites. Duties may vary but you will be expected to undertake a variety of tasks from among the following:
•Updating the Lets Go Global website and social networking
sites
•Uploading video content for the Lets Go Global website
and social networking sites
•Providing event support
•Assisting with the monthly e-newsletter
•Updating the Lets Go Global databases
•Writing copy for the Lets Go Global website and social
networking sites
•Providing administrative support to the Lets Go Global
Project Manager, New Media Communications Coordinator and
Pixelate Project Manager
•Supporting editing and filming (training would be
provided)
