Much research has already been done surrounding the arts industry, and the findings and conclusions from this can benefit anybody working in the sector. This existing research can be a useful starting point for a research project, or simply to keep abreast of developments within the industry.

Fuel4arts is an international community of artists and art professionals that communicates leading arts marketing practice. It offers a large database of knowledge and publications, as well as quarterly newsletters.

Demos is a political think thank centred around democracy. One of the six topic areas on which they focus is ‘arts and culture’, and regularly publish reports on their website.

The Institute for Public Policy Research is one of the UK’s leading independent progressive think tanks. They list information about projects, events and articles on their website.

New Audiences was set up by Arts Council England to encourage as many people as possible to participate in and benefit from the arts. The website includes a search facility for all New Audiences' projects, features, reports and publications, as well as downloadable research and analysis of the New Audiences programme.
