As my rather grand title implies, I’m responsible for the strategic research and marketing side of the organisation.  Essentially, this involves providing research advice to our members, undertaking a range of research activities on their behalf and providing consultancy advice to non member organisations.  Whilst relatively new to the Arts and Cultural sector, I have spent the last twenty years managing marketing and research activities on behalf of a range of public and private sector organisations.

Since starting at AAM in June 2005, I have led a range of research and planning projects: spanning venue based audience development research, regional data projects, destination branding research, guidance and best practice development and fund and festival evaluation.   Equipped with a broad range of sophisticated databases, profiling and software tools, and benefiting from direct access to the region’s key academic networks, professional bodies and notable consultants, it’s great to be in a position to offer our members and clients the very best in arts marketing and audience development research.
